Pre-flight Planning
Weather
Auroa can't fly in the rain, and the Wiris Pro camera offers no ingress protection, so we do not recommend flying in any precipitation.
In cold temperatures:
We recommend allowing 3-5 minutes of warm-up after powering on. This lets the IR sensor inside the Wiris Pro reach a steady temperature for the most accurate measurements. During warm-up, the gimbal and camera will still function normally, but the IR sensor's temperature data might be less accurate.
Make sure your Aurora batteries don't get too cold.
The Wiris Pro Payload matches Aurora's operational temperature range of -20C to +50C
Checks
Ensure the Wiris Pro Payload is securely attached to the Smart Dovetail mount and that the safety latch is closed.
When you’re ready to fly, perform the standard preflight checks for Aurora (found below).
